Head-on collision kills one Williston woman and sends another to Shands

One Williston woman was killed and another one seriously injured in a head-on collision in Levy County early Saturday morning.

Gabrielle Natanya Gray, 26, was traveling south on State Road 121 at about 5:47 a.m. when her 2010 Kia Forte crossed the centerline and collided with a 2015 GMA Acadia driven by 26-year-old Kimberly Joe Reqa, a Florida Highway Patrol report states.

Gray was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near NE 11th Place, while Reqa suffered serious injuries and was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Charges are pending and alcohol wasn’t a factor in the crash, the FHP report says.
