City of Ocala to host 2020 Art Park Series at the Tuscawilla Art Park

The City of Ocala will host the 2020 Art Park Series at the Tuscawilla Art Park.

The events at the park, located at 213 NE 5th St., will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on select dates this spring. Admission prices for each event will vary.

The upcoming events include:

  • Friday, Jan. 17: Little Tybee with Wallysburg. Little Tybee blends together psych-folk, progressive-rock, jazz and Motown for a dense tapestry of sound. Admission is $5.
  • Friday, Feb. 21: Beginning of Bolted Art (BOBA). Attendees can celebrate the installation of 10 new sculptures throughout Tuscawilla Park with an evening featuring sculpture tours, hors d’oeuvres, unique art experiences and a musical performance by classical crossover artists Cello Fury and the West Port High School Choir and Orchestra. Admission is $25.
  • Saturday, Feb. 22: Tuscawilla Sculpture Stroll. Those attending can bring the whole family to visit the new sculpture exhibit and vote for their favorite sculpture. Tours also will be given of the 10 new sculptures, along with free family art activities, live entertainment and food vendors. Free admission.
  • Friday, May 8: After Dark in the Park Movie – Frida. This is a biographical film based on the life of artist Frida Kahlo. The complimentary event begins at 8:30 p.m.
