Bogus 911 caller back in jail after spat with roommate

Cheryl Ann Peluso

A Dunnellon woman accused last month of making a bogus 911 call was arrested on a battery charge Sunday, days after getting out of jail.

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a roommate dispute at 11119 SW 107th Street, where Cheryl Peluso said she wanted her roommate out of her house immediately for violating house rules. Peluso had just been released from the Marion County Jail on Jan. 1 after being charged Dec. 16 with misusing the 911 emergency system.

While one deputy was running Peluso’s and the victim’s names through a computer in the patrol car, another deputy saw an argument flare up and heard Peluso yell, “get out of my house.” Peluso then physically pushed the victim with her hands, out the front door and onto the porch. The victim tried to get back into the residence and Peluso slammed the door on her, hitting her arm, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The deputy observed a red mark on the victim’s elbow. Peluso and the roommates and are not in any type of relationship, other than friendship, the report said.

Peluso was arrested and taken back to jail, where her bond from the previous incident was revoked and she’s now being held on $1,500 bond. No court information was available.
