The third Phase of a drainage improvement project along Watula Avenue in Downtown Ocala should wrap sometime later this Spring, according to city officials.
During Tuesday’s meeting of the Ocala City Council, City Engineer Sean Lanier updated council members on the status of the project and the company it was awarded to, Art Walker Construction, Inc. The company won the project with a bid of $852,092 plus a contingency not to exceed $937,302.
The project is part of roadway improvements and a drainage project to install a new system.
According to Lanier, the installation of the new underground stormwater system should be completed in the next 120 days.
