An Ocala woman accused of slapping her man friend while he munched on food from Taco Bell found herself behind bars late Sunday night.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies were called to an Ocala residence where 29-year-old Kelly Lynn Thompson said she and the man had been arguing for about an hour when he “went off” on her. She admitted the altercation became physical after the man called her a “(expletive deleted) bitch” and she slapped him across the face, a sheriff’s office report states.
The man told deputies he had been eating a meal from Taco Bell when Thompson “walked up to him and slapped him in the face.” She was then placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.
Thompson was charged with domestic battery and released Monday night on her own recognizance. She is due in court March 18 at 8:30 a.m.
