Two people extricated from wreckage of four-vehicle crash on I-75

Four people were transported by ambulance from the scene of a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Ocala.
The crash occurred at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday on I-75 southbound, near Mile Marker 352, according to Ocala Fire Rescue.

Ocala Fire Rescue performed an extrication at the scene of the crash.

A jackknifed semi-truck was positioned near the guardrail along with one car. Another collision involving a car and compact SUV blocked the center lanes of southbound I-75.
Crews assessed the scene and identified two patients in need of extrication. Stabilizing the car lodged between the semi-truck and guardrail, crews utilized cutters and spreaders to gain access to the two individuals inside. Both patients were trauma alerted.

This was one of four vehicles involved in the crash on Interstate 75.

The drivers of the second car and the SUV were also transported to the hospital. The semi-truck driver escaped without injury.
Marion County Fire Rescue and the Florida Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.
