Marion detectives seek help in locating person of interest in fatal Belleview shooting

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in a recent fatal shooting in Belleview.

Sheriff’s detectives are searching for 28-year-old Rene Nadal, who is wanted on an outstanding warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. They also want to talk him about the Feb. 14 shooting in the 4400 block of SE 115th Street that left 32-year-old Charles Brady dead.

Nadal has had numerous previous arrests and convictions. He has faced charges of dealing in stolen property, displaying a firearm during the commission of a felony, shooting into a building, aggravated battery and attempted armed burglary, to name a few. In fact, over the past eight years, he has been arrested several times on 20 different criminal charges.
