Florida Department of Health launches new COVID-19 website

The Florida Department of Health has launched a new COVID-19 Case Dashboard.

The site includes the number of cases in the United States and Florida. It also includes the number of Florida cases that are being monitored, as well as a map showing a breakdown of cases by county.

As of 5 p.m. Monday, there were 160 total COVID-19 cases in the Sunshine State, which includes 142 residents and 18 non-residents.

Florida recently partnered with private laboratories around the state to expand COVID-19 laboratory testing capacity. This partnership will increase the number of tests conducted each day and ensure Floridians receive the critical health information they need in a timely manner.

Expansion to private laboratories changes the COVID-19 testing landscape in Florida. Private laboratories will run tests as they receive swab samples from practitioners. Testing and reporting times will vary among commercial and Department of Health laboratories.
