The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department has closed public park amenities amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
The following recreation facilities, within public parks, will be closed until further notice:
- Basketball courts
- Tennis courts
- All athletic fields, including volleyball courts
- Pavilions
- Playgrounds
- Public restrooms in public parks
The Ocala Golf Club, located at 3130 E Silver Springs Blvd., also has been closed.
City of Ocala walking trails and green spaces will remain open. Residents are encouraged to practice social distancing and avoid high traffic areas at the parks that may heighten their risk for exposure.
