Marion County commissioners have called an emergency public hearing for Thursday, March 26 in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Commissioners are expected to enact an emergency ordinance to close retail operations, “comparable to dine-in establishments including but not limited to internet cafes and similar operations.”
The meeting will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the McPherson Governmental Campus, 601 SE 25th Ave. in Ocala. Public comment is encouraged and those wishing to participate may call (352) 671-8808 to be added to the public comment queue. For more information, contact county administration at (352) 438-2300.
