Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Ocala Police Department worked together recently to nab motorists who were illegally passing school buses.
Named “Operation Bus-Ted,” the joint venture spanned the month of February and resulted in 61 citations. Law enforcement officials say they also will continue targeting motorists who illegally pass school buses once school resumes following closures connected to the COVID-19 outbreak.
