SunTran altering bus hours amid COVID-19 outbreak

SunTran bus services remain operational during the COVID-19 health situation – with a change in service hours beginning Monday, March 30.

Bus services at the downtown bus station will begin at 7:10 a.m. This includes the green, purple, blue, orange and yellow service routes. Service on the red route, departing from the Marion County Health Department, will now begin at 7:43 a.m.
These changes are temporary and dependent upon recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Gov. Ron DeSantis, along with state, local and federal mandates.

For up-to-date information and to follow bus routes in real time, passengers can utilize the live bus tracker available online by clicking HERE or via the convenient myStop app available for iPhone and Android devices.

SunTran also is actively responding to cleaning protocols and will continue to adapt to the needs of employees and passengers. Each bus receives daily cleanings, including disinfecting surfaces. Operators wipe down high-touch areas two to four times each shift to maintain a healthy environment.

Commercial-grade disinfectant is currently being used each night on all in-service buses. For more information, please call (352) 401-6999 or visit https://www.suntran.org/home.
