Ocala woman accused of slapping man who left her at home for three days

Fanny Waleska Barahona

A 22-year-old Ocala woman was charged with domestic battery last week after admitting to slapping a man because he left her at their residence for three days.

The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy that he was in a verbal argument with Fanny Waleska Barahona on Wednesday when she slapped him on the right side of his face. The deputy did not observe any injuries or redness on the victim’s face, according to the sheriff’s office report.

Asked about what happened, Barahona told the deputy everything the victim said was true and that she had slapped him. She said she was angry for leaving him at the residence for three days with a person or people whose identities and relationships were redacted from the report.

Barahona was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released Friday on her own recognizance. She’s due to appear in Marion County Court on May 13.
