A 22-year-old man found himself behind bars recently after feeling from an Ocala motorcycle officer.
The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Lil Derricyhan Manuel Jackson, of Ocala, after he failed to yield. Jackson then crashed his vehicle while being pursued but continued to flee from officers, a report states.
The chase ended in the 9700 block of SW 34th Place, where Jackson was arrested by the motorcycle officer. He was in possession of a loaded Ruger .357 pistol and had a warrant for murder with a gun out of the Atlanta Police Department, as well as a violation of probation on a robbery warrant out of Marion County. He refused to speak with detectives and was transported to the Marion County Jail.
Jackson was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and a probation violation for a charge of robbery with a weapon.
