UPDATE: EVERYONE HAS BEEN LOCATED AND THE CHILDREN ARE SAFE.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating three children who could be at risk of harm.
The sheriff’s office received a pickup order that was obtained by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in reference to the well-being of 25-year-old Pamela Lavan’s children – 3-year-old Jilleane, 1-year-old Brileigh and 3-month-old Brody. Lavan is accused of avoiding contact with DCF investigators in their efforts to assess the well-being of the children during an open child protective investigation.
The three children were last seen with Lavan, who is known to be driving a black 2017 Cadillac Escalade with Florida tag #NRAY75. DCF believes the children are at risk of harm. Anyone who sees the three children or Lavan – or knows their whereabouts – is asked to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office by calling 911.
