Ocala Civic Theatre Education & Enrichment is offering an all-day performance camp from June 29 through July 19.
Titled Summer S.T.A.G.E. (Student Theatre Arts Guided Experiences), three small ensembles will take classes and attend rehearsals each day. Led by professional teaching artists, campers will learn music, dance, acting, stage craft, improv, playwriting and more.
Collaborating and creating a show around the theme “Rebuild,” three small ensembles will explore songs and stories that celebrate the resilience of the human spirit, the healing power of love and the strength of united community. Pieces will be gathered from a variety of sources including contemporary theatre, poetry, international folklore and a wide range of music genres and self-written works.
At the end of camp, the ensembles will present “Rebuild,” a show that will inspire and uplift family and friends. Performances will be held July 17-19.
Summer S.T.A.G.E. is for youth ages 10-18. Camp will be held Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuition is $500. To register and learn more, please visit www.ocalacivictheatre.com.
