Ocala man jailed after 15-year-old girl says she was sexually assaulted

David Saint Louis

An Ocala man was jailed Thursday after being accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

The victim told Marion County sheriff’s detectives that on Sunday, May 31, 26-year-old David Saint Louis had approached her at a Sunoco gas station on W. Silver Springs Boulevard and identified himself as “David.” She said Saint Louis told her he was a chauffeur and offered her a ride, a sheriff’s office report states.

The victim said she accepted the ride and Saint Louis told her he needed to drop a friend off first. He then said he needed to pick some things up from his home in Marion Oaks. While driving, Saint Louis asked the victim what grade she was in and when she told him she was a freshman in high school, he said he was 24, the report states.

The victim said Saint Louis eventually parked the vehicle behind a house and under some trees, keeping it slightly hidden. She said he started touching her inappropriately and when she protested, he replied, “No one tells me no,” the report says.

The victim said after Saint Louis had sexually battered her, he dropped her off, gave her his phone number and told her to call him. A sexual assault examination of the victim corroborated her story, the report says.

Detectives used various investigative techniques to identify Saint Louis as a possible suspect. She was presented a lineup containing his photo and positively identified him as the person who sexually battered her, the report says.

On Thursday, a sheriff’s deputy located Saint Louis’ vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The deputy transported Saint Louis to the sheriff’s office’s Central Operations facility, where he was interviewed by detectives. During that interview, Saint Louis claimed to have had consensual sex with the victim, the report says.

Saint Louis, who lives at 8025 S.W. 131st Ln. in Ocala, was charged with sexual assault on a victim between the ages of 12 and 18. He was being held on $10,000 bond and his next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
