Marion County sheriff searching for victims of accused child abuser

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is searching for anyone who may have been a victim of an accused child abuser.

Sheriff Billy Woods announced on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page that his agency is searching for anyone who was victimized by 64-year-old Frank Calabria, of Ocala. He was arrested Tuesday on charges of child abuse, delivering drugs to a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and depriving custody of a minor and released the following day on $20,000 bond.

“Frank has been bringing juvenile victims into his home, into his bedroom and supplying them with prescription medications,” Woods said. “It was also reported that Frank would make sexually inappropriate comments to these juveniles.”

Woods added that because of statements from victims, be believes there are others who haven’t yet come forward. Anyone who meets that criteria or parents who know their children have had interactions with Calabria are asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (352) 732-9111.

“Victimizing children is not something I will tolerate,” Woods said. “Children need to be protected, and I will seek justice for anyone that Frank has victimized.”
