Ocala Police officers are seeking the public’s help in finding a woman who recently ripped off a Dollar General store.
The woman shown above was last seen on video surveillance and by employees at the store, located at 2167 E Silver Springs Blvd. She walked into the store carrying an empty black-and-white bag, which was full of miscellaneous items valued at $59 when she left, a police report states.
The woman then attempted to enter a black Buick (unknown plate or model) but the driver denied her access and drove away. She then walked down Silver Springs Boulevard and eventually dropped the bag of items near the Wing House restaurant, the report says.
Dollar General employees recovered the stolen items and the woman was last seen walking west on E. Silver Springs Boulevard. Anyone with information about the crime or the woman is asked to contact Officer Powell at (352) 369-7000.
