A 43-year-old woman found herself behind bars recently after she was stopped for driving a stolen vehicle.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy saw Michelle Ping driving the vehicle that had been reported stolen at the intersection of SE 101st Court and 126th Place. The deputy made contact with Ping and discovered that her driver’s license had been suspended, a sheriff’s office report states.
Ping was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and driving while license suspended (first offense). She was being held on $3,000 bond and is due in court Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charges.
