Marion County Fire Rescue’s water rescue team completes training on Lake Kerr

Members of Marion County Fire Rescue’s special water rescue team conducted training recently on Lake Kerr.

Members of the Special Operations Technical Rescue Team performed rescues from both the shore of the lake and boats. Multiple evolutions were conducted to ensure that each firefighter rotated from the shore and boat to boat.

Members of the unit say the training in invaluable, citing a water rescue they were sent to perform a few weeks ago.
