Belleview woman caught with meth outside Lake View Apartments

Victoria Anne Barrow

A Belleview woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after she was arrested while sitting in a vehicle outside the Lake View Apartments.

A Belleview Police officer was on routine patrol Sunday afternoon near the apartment building, located at 5838 SE Robinson Road, when he observed Victoria Anne Barrow, 49, sitting in a parked 2008 Chevy Impala with the engine running. The officer ran the vehicle’s license tag number and discovered Barrow’s license was suspended, according to the police report.

The officer approached Barrow, told her that her license was suspended and asked her to get out of the car. He then asked Barrow for permission to search her vehicle and she gave her consent. Barrow told the officer there was methamphetamine in the center console, the report said.

The officer searched the vehicle and recovered the drugs and a glass pipe that Barrow admitted she uses to smoke meth. Barrow said she smokes methamphetamine because she can’t afford the prescription drugs she is supposed to be taking, according to the report.

Barrow was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released Monday on $2,500 bond.
