Ocala teenager Connor Hoff found safe after leaving home a month ago

An Ocala teenager who has been missing for a month has been located and is safe.

Connor Hoff, 16, had been missing since June 17 when he was seen getting into an older blue compact car. He supposedly had left a note telling his mother, Tammy, that he had some things to sort out and would return when he was 18.

Tammy Hoff had launched an all-out search for her son. She even organized a group of volunteers who helped find leads to locate Connor.

The Ocala Police Department posted on its Facebook page on Wednesday that the teenager had been found and a short time later there were 489 comments and the post had been shared 1,300 times. Many of the comments offered thanks that Connor had been located and said he had been in their thoughts and prayers.

“Oh thank God!” wrote Charlene Wright. “I’m so relieved. I’m sure his mom is overjoyed. I hope he can resolve whatever is bothering him.”

Volunteers from throughout Ocala and Marion County came together to help search for missing teenager Connor Hoff, who was found safe Wednesday.

Brandi Barker Bearce said she was just glad to know the teenager was safe.

“I hope the family gets some peace and answers and seeks therapy or help for whatever they need from our community,” Bearce wrote.

Melinda Boatright agreed and sent a message to Connor.

“If you ever doubt your mother’s love for you, go back and look at all of the work she did to help find you,” she wrote. “She was devoted and persistent. Things may be tough but you have someone in your corner fighting for you!”
