The CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion career center in Lecanto closed its doors Thursday for 14 days due to staff exposure to a customer with COVID-19.
In-person appointments at the center at 623 S. Adolph Point will be rescheduled. All services will be available virtually via phone, email, live chat and online at careersourceclm.com.
Kathleen Woodring, CareerSource CLM’s executive vice president, said the customer did not disclose that they had the Coronavirus when asked during the screening process.
“All staff use extreme caution to ensure the safety of our customers by sanitizing the center, wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing and taking temperatures,” Woodring said. “This is unfortunate, but we are serious when it comes to the protection of our staff and customers and that means we need to close the center in Citrus County.”
Career centers remain open, by appointment only, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Ocala and Chiefland. Staff will continue to be available weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., by phone and email to assist job seekers and businesses. Additionally, information and services also are accessible online at careersourceclm.com.
