Betty Lou Thawley of Ocala, FL died July 24, 2020. She was 89. Mrs. Thawley moved to Ocala from Gainesville, Florida where she had lived since 1969.
She was employed at Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point, Maryland where she met her husband, Richard in 1957. After moving to Gainesville, she worked at the V.A. Medical Center until she retired in 1985.
She enjoyed camping, square-dancing, card games, reading and loved spending time with family and friends.
She was a devout follower of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Thawley, her sister Romaine Ouimette and brother Charles Tyree.
Survivors include her children Kathy Drake (Alan) of Morrisville, NC, Susan Stillwell of Fort Wayne, IN, and Richard Thawley Jr. (Lori) of Rockledge, FL and six grandchildren and four greatgrandsons.
