Silver Springs woman nabbed after drugs found during traffic stop

A Silver Springs woman was jailed recently after a Marion County sheriff’s deputy stopped her vehicle in the 12900 block of N.E. 1st Street.

During a search of 43-year-old Jennifer Pauline Stacy’s Volkswagen Passat, a backpack was found containing a small amount of methamphetamine and several baggies with drug residue in them, a sheriff’s office report states.

Stacy allegedly admitted that she owned the backpack and its contents. She was then placed under arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug equipment. She was released on $3,000 bond and is due in court Aug. 18 at 9 a.m.
