Temporary lane closures scheduled on southeast Marion County roadways

Motorists traveling in southeastern Marion will experience several temporary lane closures from Monday, Aug. 3-Tuesday, Sept. 1 due to swale and roadway work associated with the Lake Weir Heights Additional Improvement project.

Those include:

  • S.E. 104th Terrace between S.E. 127th Lane and the intersection of S.E. 128th Street.
  • S.E. 128th Street between the intersections of S.E. 104th Terrace and S.E. 127th Lane.
  • S.E. 127th Lane near and at the intersection of S.E. 128th Street.
  • S.E. 106th Court between S.E. 127th Lane and S.E. 128th Lane.

The lane closures will be in effect during weekdays and daylight hours only. Access to local residences within the limits of the area will be maintained. Crews will place barricades and signage to direct all other traffic around the work zone.

Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Adverse weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances may affect the work schedule. For more information, contact the Office of the County Engineer at 352-671-8686.
