Change in traffic control planned on N. Magnolia Avenue in Ocala

The City of Ocala is preparing to remove traffic signals on N. Magnolia Avenue.

The city’s Engineering Department began studying traffic signals along the roadway in December 2018 and based on traffic studies, it was determined that the unwarranted signals would be removed at N.E. First Street and N.E. Second Street.

As part of the removal process beginning Tuesday, Aug. 11, signals will flash red and all-way stop signs will be added to all approaches. Message boards and necessary devices will be in place to notify drivers of the new traffic pattern.
