A Fort McCoy man was jailed recently after being accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 16-year-old girl.
Marion County sheriff’s deputies spoke with the alleged victim, who said 36-year-old Travis Ray Moore Rodgers had been messaging with her on social media. She also told deputies that on July 5, she had met Rodgers and engaged in sexual intercourse with him inside his vehicle, a sheriff’s office report states.
Rodgers was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail. He was charged with sexual assault and failing to register changes to employment information as a sex offender. He was being held on no bond.
Due to Rodgers criminal history, sheriff’s deputies believe there may be more sexual assault victims. Anyone who believes they may be a victim or know someone else who could be are asked to contact Det. Nick Sutliff at (352) 368‐3546.
