Visitors Center reopening at Fort King National Historic Landmark

The Visitors Center at the Fort King National Historic Landmark is reopening to the public on a limited basis.

The facility, located at 3925 E Fort King St., will be open on Fridays and Saturdays beginning this Friday, Aug. 14. Hours of operation will be noon to 5 p.m. The Visitors Center was closed in March because of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Because of the virus and in accordance with current recommended health guidelines, only five visitors at a time will be allowed inside the center. In addition, all guests will be required to wear masks that cover their noses and mouths and adhere to a physical distance of six feet apart.
