From fender-benders to rollover crashes, wet roads resulted in an overabundance of traffic incident calls. Among the more notable occurrences were a rollover, a vehicle slamming into a building and a jackknifed truck.

Ocala firefighters at 8:40 a.m. were dispatched to a vehicle rollover in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 between Mile Markers 352 and 354. While en route, crews learned that the vehicle was accessible from an interior road.

Approaching the scene from NW 37th Avenue, firefighters gained access to a pickup truck that was lying on its side. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was assessed and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. No other injuries were reported.

A few hours later, crews responded to a vehicle versus building. At 1:31 p.m. firefighters arrived at the scene of a crash that resulted in an SUV impacting the Paddock Park Animal Care Center. Three patients were transported to the hospital. No pet injuries were reported.

One hour later, crews headed back to I-75, where a pickup truck with a trailer jackknifed over the State Road 40 overpass, blocking multiple lanes of traffic. Although traffic in the northbound lanes of the interstate was backed up for some time, no injuries were reported.
