An Ocala woman who was wanted on an outstanding warrant was jailed early Thursday morning after being stopped by an Ocala Police officer.
The officer was driving in the 2700 block of N.W. 10th Street at about 2 a.m. when he saw a tan 1992 Ford passenger vehicle traveling westbound. The officer performed a computer check on the vehicle’s license plate number and determined that one of the registered owners, 38-year-old Nicole Leigh Davis, was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Lee County, a police report states.
The officer detained Davis until the warrant could be confirmed. She was then placed under arrest and charged in connection with the outstanding domestic violence warrant. She was being held on no bond and her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
