The Marion Cultural Alliance is currently accepting nominations for their annual Arts Awards.
In its fifth year, the MCA Arts Awards will honor individuals and organizations who enhance the community’s quality of life through outstanding service, vision, and commitment to creativity.
The awards are split into different categories recognizing Service, Vision, and Education.
Service: Recognizes an exceptional individual for their dedicated volunteerism in the arts and contribution to the arts community as a whole.
Vision: Recognizes an individual or organization in Ocala/Marion County for
their outstanding advocacy of the arts.
Education: Recognizes an arts educator who utilizes the arts as a tool for achieving excellence.
Self-nominations are welcome and online nomination forms can be found on the MCA’s Applaud the Arts event page.
The deadline to submit a nomination is Sunday, September 27. The Applaud the Arts event will be held at the Marion Theatre on Thursday, October 8.
