59-year-old Ocala man nabbed after bank robbery at Wells Fargo branch

Clark Woodrow Pro

Ocala Police officers scrambled to a local bank Thursday afternoon after receiving reports of a robbery in progress.

Officers received the call at 12:55 p.m. from the Wells Fargo Bank at 2001 S.W. 17th St. An employee said the robber handed a note to a teller in attempt to obtain money.

The suspect, later identified as 59-year-old Clark Woodrow Pro, was described as being 45-50 years old and appeared to have his hand covered as if concealing a weapon. He fled on foot from the bank branch without getting any money, the report says.

The first officer arrived at the bank three minutes of the call. A short track was initiated by a K-9 officer and his dog, at which point Pro was located and positively identified, the report says. He was being interviewed late Thursday afternoon by Ocala Police Major Crimes detectives as part of their investigation, the report says.
