Area residents are invited to take part in Saturday’s MIA/POW Recognition Day Program.
The event, which is being put on by Marion County Veterans Services, will be held at 11 a.m. at Ocala/Marion County Veterans Memorial Park, located at 2601 SE Fort King St. in Ocala.
The program will include recognition and commemorations of former prisoners of war and missing service members; setting of the “Missing Man Table” in honor of fallen, missing or imprisoned service members; musical performances and more.
Attendees are encouraged to follow all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for social distancing and are encouraged to wear a mask or face covering.
Marion County will livestream the event on Facebook Live at fb.com/MarionCountyFlorida for those who are unable to attend in person.
