We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2020, at the age of 94, Dolores Elise Tomlinson of Ocala, Florida born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She will be sadly missed by her children Joanne (Kenny) MacKenzie and Vicki Tomlinson of Ocala, Florida; her grandchildren Joseph (Missy) Delozier, Jr. of Seven Valleys, PA, Laurie (Harold) Ramos of Ocala, and Jesse (Sarah) Tomlinson of New Jersey. her 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dolores was predeceased by her husband William John Tomlinson, Sr., her son William John Tomlinson, Jr., and her great-granddaughter Elise Beth Delozier.
Dolores graduated from Ward High School in Pennsylvania and worked as an Executive Secretary for 44 years before retiring. Her husband and her enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to entertain. No one ever went away hungry. She also knit, crocheted, did word searches, and recently started coloring with colored pencils.
A private celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Her interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with her loving husband.
In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations in Dolores’ memory to the American Cancer Society.
