Humane Society of Marion County to award year supply of pet food to winner of Halloween Pet Costume Contest

The Humane Society of Marion County is offering a chance to win pet food for a year to the winner of their digital Halloween Pet Costume Contest this year.

The “Spooktacular Howl-O-Ween” Costume Contest is now accepting entries through Thursday, October 1. The cost to participate is $10 per pet, or $15 for duos (i.e., 2 pets, or 1 pet with 1 person).

Starting Friday, October 2, the Humane Society of Marion County will begin posting all the photos of those participating for the public to vote for their favorite. Note, it will cost $1 to vote, and there is no limit to voting. Voting will end on October 30 at 12:00 p.m. Winners will be announced on October 31.

All donations are tax-deductible and will directly benefit the animals housed at the Humane Society of Marion County.

This year’s winner will take home free dog (Blue Buffalo) or cat food for one year, as well as a free discount membership to the Humane Society of Marion County Thrift Store for one year.

Second place will receive free dog or cat food for six months, as well as a discount membership to the thrift store. Third place will receive the discounted membership as well.
