A 43-year-old woman was jailed recently after being accused of targeting an Ocala Wal-Mart.
A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to the store at 34 Bahia Ave. in reference to a theft. When he arrived, it was discovered that 43-year-old Rahila Beth Hunter had exited the store with unpaid merchandise, which wasn’t her first offense, a sheriff’s office report states.
Hunter had two prior convictions for theft, which made the most recent crime a felony. She was arrested, transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with larceny/petit theft (third or subsequent offense). She was released on $1,000 bond and is due in court Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charge, jail records show.
