Ocala Symphony Orchestra closing season with three performances

The Ocala Symphony Orchestra will host three fall performances to close out the 2020 Season.

The first of the shows, Igor Stravinsky’s: The Soldier’s Tale, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. and will feature members of the OSO, Joshua Mazur as the narrator, and a special collaboration with Dance Alive National Ballet.

The second show will take place on Saturday, Nov. 21, and will showcase a special recomposition of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. The performance will feature OSO concertmaster Stewart Kitts, violin and the Ocala Symphony Orchestra. The recomposition, which was the work of Max Richter, offers a 21st century view of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.

The final show will take place on Friday, Dec. 4, as the OSO performs their traditional holiday program, Symphony Under the Lights . This concert is free and open to the public and takes place at the Jenkins Open Air Theatre, adjacent to the Reilly Arts Center.
