Willie Pinkney Wilson

Willie Pinkney Wilson, 83, was born on January 10, 1937 in Ocala, FL to Booker T. Wilson and Ruby Fleming Adams Cole, and passed away on October 20, 2020. He was given the nickname “Sweet”.

He was educated in the Public Schools of Marion County. He was of the Christian faith.

Sweet was employed by Pritchett Tru as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed farming.

Sweet was married to the late Mary Helen Patterson and their union was blessed with two children.

He was preceded in death by both his parents Booker T. Wilson and Ruby Fleming, three sisters: Patricia Ann Jenkins, Ernestine E. Wilson and Toledo Cole, and three brothers: Fulton Lewis Terrell Wilson, Gregory Cole and Wilbert Cole, Jr.

Sweet is survived by his daughter, Violet Wilson-Scott, son, Daryl Scott, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, stepfather, Wilbert Cole, four sisters: Joyce Hogans (James), Gladys Wilson, Bonita Cole (Cory), and Ann Frazier, a devoted cousin, Evelyn Williams, his extended family includes, Adam, Reggie, Moses and Ebony Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Public viewing on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 2238 NW 10th St, Ocala, Fl. 34475

A celebration of life for Mr. Willie P. Wilson will be graveside at BFW Memorial Garden, 121 SW 46th Ave. Ocala, FL 34475, on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11am.

Interment will follow in BFW Memorial Garden.
