Officials are trying to confirm the identity of a man killed in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Marion County.
The man was pronounced dead by Marion County Fire Rescue at the scene of the crash which occurred at 2:25 p.m. on County Road 475A south of the Florida Horse Park.
His sport utility vehicle had been traveling north when it crossed the center line and collided with a southbound SUV driven by a 74-year-old Ocala man, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He and a 69-year-old female passenger were seriously injured and transported to the Ocala Regional Medical Center. They both had been wearing their seat belts.
The other SUV overturned and the driver was partially ejected. He had not been wearing a seat belt.
