Marion County sheriff’s detectives investigating shooting that left one dead

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another person injured.

Sheriff’s detectives responded to the area of N.E. 77th Loop and N.E. 22nd Terrace after receiving calls about gunshots being fired. When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Antwan Williams and a second victim who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to an area hospital, where Williams was later pronounced dead.

The investigation into the shooting is continuing. Detectives believe it was an “isolated incident” and there is no apparent threat to those living nearby.
