American Fun Circus will make its way to Ocala’s Southeastern Livestock Pavilion next week, and a protest has been scheduled to meet them there.
The circus will operate three shows starting next Tuesday, October 27 and ending Wednesday, October 28 at the pavilion (2228 NE Jacksonville Rd).
According to the circus’ event page, the show is over 90 minutes of traditional “three-ring circus classics” performed by animals and artists.
The protest, which is planned for the Wednesday, October 28, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will take place at the pavilion as well and is being hosted by Animal Rights Florida, a nonprofit organization for animal rights in central Florida that hosts similar events across the state every month.
According to their website, the organization was founded in 1989 to promote and protect the rights of animals in Florida through public demonstrations and outreach events, letters to the editor, and personal appearances by spokespersons on radio, television, and in-person.
