Driver kicks out window to free himself after pickup overturns in Ocala

Ocala Fire Rescue responded to a collision involving three vehicles on NE 36th Avenue and Seventh Street. 

Engine 2 and Rescue 2 were dispatched at 4:23 p.m. Friday to the scene of the accident involving three vehicles – a blue pick-up truck, a red pick-up truck and a gold SUV. Units arrived to find the blue pickup truck on its roof. 

The driver, and sole occupant of the blue pick-up truck, kicked through the rear window of the vehicle self-extricating prior to arrival of emergency personnel. The driver was transported to the hospital. 

Two adults and a dog in the gold SUV and two adults in the red pick-up truck reported injuries.

Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
