The Marion Cultural Alliance will host a reception for the opening of its new exhibit, “Paint What You Love,” at the Brick City Center for the Arts on Friday, Nov. 6.
The exhibit is a collective featuring the artwork of student artists of Carol Basso. The event will take place in the center’s patio, and will showcase over 40 artists who have created a bevy of work through different mediums and with distinct styles and sizes.
Basso, who has been an art teacher for over 40 years, studied the old masters under David Leffell and Chris Christiansen and still life under the guidance of Robert A. Johnson.
The Brick City Center for the Arts gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Sunday and Monday.
