Big Daddy Unlimited, an online gun retailer, has plans to build a distribution center in Ocala, according to a recent press release from the company.
The company, which sells firearms, accessories and gear through their online market, will construct a 40,000 square foot distribution center in southeast Ocala at 491 Oak Road. They plan on an initial investment of half a million dollars and hope to employ 10 to 20 local residents.
Big Daddy Unlimited will partner with We Got Ammo, to assemble ammunition in a portion of the distribution center.
“The Ocala Metro is an ideal location for our new distribution center due to its geographical location and available workforce” said Tracy Harper, CEO of Big Daddy Unlimited.
In addition to the distribution center, the company has plans to open a storefront location at 3558 SW College Road.
“We are excited to open our first retail location in Ocala under our brand, Big Daddy Guns, which will have a wide selection of firearms, ammunition, gear and accessories,” said Harper.
