Community yard sales return as COVID-19 restrictions lift

Community yard sales are returning to Ocala-area locations as COVID-19 restrictions lift this fall.

Next week both Ocala Overstock Sales and Marion Oaks will host large, community-based yard sales.

Marion Oaks will host their annual yard sale at the Marion Oaks Community Center (294 Marion Oaks Lane) on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items in a variety of categories will be for sale, including household, home decor, estate, recreation, clothing, toys, home and garden, and more. The cost to participate is free for those living within the Marion Oaks community and $10 for those outside. Social distancing is encouraged during the sale. Ocala Overstock Sales, a local wholesale liquidator, will host their community yard sale on the same day, Saturday, Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their retail location (7175 S Pine Avenue #J). The cost to participate is $10 for a 10×15 space. All home based businesses and those selling yard sale items, crafts, jewelry and other items are welcome to participate.
