Ocala woman accused of throwing toy truck at man’s face

Crystal Jeanette Campbell

A 34-year-old Ocala woman was arrested for allegedly throwing a “Gravedigger” toy truck at a man’s face during a rage.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded Nov. 1 to a residence on SE 40th Street, where the victim said Crystal Jeanette Campbell had woken him up that morning “in a mood” and was arguing with him over nonsense. He said the argument started over her accusing him of not listening to him, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim claimed Campbell was extremely hormonal. He said she regularly tries to argue with him, but this time it escalated until she threw a “Gravedigger” monster truck Hot Wheels toy in his face, the report said.

The deputy observed the victim had fresh wounds on the left side of his mouth and on his left cheek, which were consistent with his statement, according to the report.

Campbell was arrested on Wednesday and charged with simple domestic battery. She was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released Thursday on her own recognizance. Campbell will appear in Marion County Court on Dec. 11.
