A Christmas Golf Cart Parade is coming to downtown Ocala this holiday season.
The event, which is being hosted by the Ocala Golf Cart Club, will start at Ocala City Hall (110 SE Watula Avenue) on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
According to an announcement from the club, event organizers expect over 150 golf carts to participate in this year’s parade. Big Lee’s BBQ and Grill will be on hand.
The golf cart parade comes after multiple events in the city and local area have had to reschedule or outright cancel their events to address concerns from COVID-19.
Last month, Ocala City Council members cancelled the Ocala Light Up event that draws tens of thousands of local residents to the downtown Ocala square.
The Ocala Christmas Parade still has plans to go forward with its annual show, which takes place along East Silver Springs Boulevard.
