Marion sheriff seeks help in locating Ocala man wanted for sexual battery on juvenile

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods is asking for help from area residents in nabbing an Ocala man wanted for lewd and lascivious battery.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods is asking for help from area residents in catching 26-year-old Jonathan Olivencia, who is accused of having sexual contact with a juvenile under the age of 16.

The sheriff appeared on his agency’s Facebook page during his weekly Wanted by Woods Wednesday segment to seek help in locating 26-year-old Jonathan Olivencia. Woods said Olivencia is wanted for allegedly having sexual contact with a juvenile under the age of 16.

“We need to get him off the streets before he hurts another one of our young citizens,” Woods said, adding that he doesn’t believe Olivencia will turn himself in and he could be in Lake County.

Anyone with information about Olivencia or his whereabout is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352) 368-STOP (7867) and reference 20-79 in your tip. If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
